Fay V. Kirkpatrick, 80, of Bellaire, passed away on November 30, 2025.
She was born on April 24, 1945, in Ellsworth, the daughter of George and Alma (Shonk) Finch.
Fay was employed at the Bellaire Public Schools for several years where she cooked and was school bus aid for handicapped children. She also worked for the Chalet in Bellaire as well as Ruthie’s Dairy Twist.
On April 25, 1964, in Bellaire, she married John W. Kirkpatrick Sr. who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Cheryl (Tony) Marshall of Bellaire, Linda (Greg) Parsons of Mancelona, John Jr. (Kelly) Kirkpatrick, Marcy (Larry) Wertenberger of Traverse City, a brother William “Bill” Finch of Kasilof, AK, a sister Margarite “Susie” Finch as well as 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were 2 brothers, George Finch Jr., Marvin “Buddy” Finch, sister Delores O’Dell and her parents.
Viewing will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Southern Cemetery, Central Lake Township. Pastor Chris Wallace will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ellsworth Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 218, Ellsworth, MI, 49729.
Arrangements are in the care of the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
