A visitation for Fay Laprarie, of Marksville will begin at 8:00am until 11:45am on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Marksville. 

Fay Marie Laprarie, age 71, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Fay enjoyed commercial fishing with her late husband, Mitchel Laprarie, Sr. She was known to be an avid cook and cleaner of fish. Her career prior was working as a Lt. Correctional Officer, which she enjoyed very much.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Wilma “Bibbie” (Ronnie) Delafosse of Marksville; sister, Bessie (Robert) Ducote of Marksville; grandchildren: John Laprarie of Marksville and Whitney Ducote of Marksville. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren: Kyra Ducote of Marksville, Azare Bradford of Marksville, Alahna Bradford of Marksville, and Anyla Bradford of Marksville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchel Laprarie, Sr.; son, Mitchel Laprarie, Jr.; great-grandson, Keondrick “Gibbs” Bradford; parents, Daniel & Martha Gagnard, Jr.; and siblings, Horace Gagnard, Jr., Katie Dupuy, and Debra Sue Bordelon.

Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville have been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
