With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Mr. Tim Olten Laprarie, age 84 of Deville, Louisiana, who departed this life peacefully on September 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on May 27, 1941, He retired after 34 years with the Avoyelles Parish School board. He was a long-time member of Richey Baptist Church.

He lived his life with humility, grace and unwavering faith, always putting others before himself. His legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

A man of many talents, Tim had a lifelong passion for fishing, hunting and working with his hands. Whether he was out in the woods, casting a line on a quiet morning or tinkering under the hood of a car,

he found joy in the simple, honest pleasures of life. Known as skilled mechanic and always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

More than anything, Tim will be remembered for the kind gentle heart that beat within him.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend. His quiet strength, warm smile, and deep-rooted faith in God were a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Diane Marie Bordelon Laprarie; his parents, Sam W. and Belle Tyler Laprarie; seven brothers, Roy, Azery, Leo, Fred, Sam Jr., Alvin, and Franklin; three sisters, Alma, Mildred, and Aleen.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 32 years, Nancy M. Laprarie of Deville; one daughter, Pamela S. Carroll (James) of Denham Springs; one son, David S.

Laprarie of Deville; four grandchildren, Mindi Walker, Matthew Laprarie (Bayli), Logan Laprarie (Peyton), and Abbey Carroll; six great-grandchildren, Drake, Karter Eastyn, Eli, Masyn and Emmerson; two great-great grandchildren, Braylon and Westyn; one sister, Myrte Broderick; and a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of Tim's life will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 4:00-9:00 pm. A 7:00 pm service with Bro Rick Carter and Bro Grady Dodge officiating at Richey Baptist Church, 999 Effie Hwy, Deville, Louisiana 71328.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests plants or donations to the church.
