Faye Martin Beard, age 91, of Walker, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026.
Faye lived a long life rooted in family, resilience, and devotion to those she loved. She was married to Irvin Beard, and together they built a family that remained the center of her life.
She was a woman of faith and a faithful member of the First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Beard, and her sons, Hollis Timothy Gill, Jr., Martin Beard, Mitchell Beard and Ricky Beard.
She is survived by her daughter, Vikki Bourgeois, and son-in-law, Chris Bourgeois; and her grandchildren, Traci McCullough, Nancy Calais, Cory Beard, Jennifer Steward, Sophia Flemming, Lance Beard, Karli Jordan, Laney Beard, and Nora Bourgeois. Faye is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Faye will be remember for her caring spirit and the love she showed to those around her. She loved to cook and took great joy in caring for others. Above all, she loved her grandchildren unconditionally and treasured the time spent with them.
Though the later years of her life were marked by illness, her life and memory remain a lasting gift to those who knew and loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her husband and sons who went before her.
Her legacy of love will continue through the family she cherished.
