David Sander Shull, 95, of Watkinsville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Born October 17, 1930, David was a native of Shamokin, Pennsylvania, and the son of the late Elmer Ellsworth and Kathryn Prause Shull.
David was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a military policeman. Following his military service, he spent his entire career in law enforcement and retired from the Brooklyn Center Police Department. David was a Mason, a Shriner, and an avid golfer. He was especially proud of scoring a hole-in-one.
In addition to his parents, one brother, and four sisters, David was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sharon Yvonne Stenerson Shull; and a son, Gregory Shull.
He is survived by his children: Cheri Rose of Watkinsville, Georgia, Teresa Fontenot of Walker, Louisiana, Michael Shull of Sherman, Texas, and Rochelle (Dave) Quigg of Buford, Georgia; and his grandchildren: Rebecca, Brittney (Steven), Jannah (Pablo), John (Maria), Tom (Siona), Danielle, Dylan, and Kaylan; and 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held Thursday, March 5 in Athens, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, Georgia, was in charge of arrangements.
