Faye Daniel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Feb. 18, 2026.
The sweet spirit of Faye K. Cook Daniel was peacefully released into the Lord's open arms on February 17,2026. Faye was born April 5, 1934, in Appling County, Ga. to the late Lennie C. Kimmons and JF Kimmons, becoming the baby sister of Phil and Royce Kimmons, affectionally being called Sunbeam.

Faye's first job began at an early age working alongside her brothers and mother in the family owned Kimmons Grocery in Surrency, Ga. Reminiscing of those times became more frequent and comforting as time passed.

Marrying at a young age, she became the mother of two, daughter Kathey and son Darvin Blanton.

While attending Savannah Cosmetology School she met and married Nathan L Cook. In 1959, in Warner Robins, GA she came home with a new baby boy in hand, Kim Cook. She became a well-loved, respected business owner of Cinderella Beauty Salon for over 50 years. Faye had a lifelong passion for her work, never losing her desire or enthusiasm for bringing happiness and beauty to others.

Faye married Herman "Dan" Daniel in 1973, sharing many happy and rewarding years with volunteer work for veterans, a cause close to heart. With Dan's passing in 1996, even after a hard day's work Faye continued to bring cheer and care when working bingo at "the legion"

She was an active member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 172, a member of VFW 6605, 40&8 and Green Acres Baptist Church and other charitable organizations.

After her retirement in 2016, she moved to New Smyrna Beach, Fl. enjoying her final years with her daughter and son-in-law. Becoming active in ACA's Creative Care Group and Daytona Christian Drive -In Church, she shared her fondness of music and singing while making new forever friends; always bringing her smile and quick wit.

All who knew her will miss her love, compassion and devotion to family, friends, clients, county and God. She was given the special gift of love and caring for everyone. Faye's heart and soul was her family, both human and canine.

Faye has been reunited in a heavenly home with those she loved and missed: Lennie C. Kimmons, JF Kimmons, much loved son Darvin "Chuck" Blanton, Phil and Jimmie Ann Kimmons, Nathan L Cook, Herman W. Daniel, James Kimmons and her faithful companions Brandy, Mitzie, Precious and Lexi.

Survivors left to cherish the memories are: children Kathey Blanton(Dick), Kim N. Cook (Lynn) ; daughter-in-law Pat Blanton; brother and sister Royce Kimmons (Joanne), Billie Carol Chkoreff ; sister-in-law Linda Kimmons; grandchildren; Anida Blanton, Logan Cook, Thomas Rice ( Jessie) ; great grandchildren; Skyler, Ella, Emma Rice; many nieces and nephews; friends too numerous to name. May her legacy of strength, kindness, dignity and most of all Love live on!

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 25,2026 at 1:00 pm at Magnolia Park Cemetery, 205 S. Pleasant Hill Road, Warner Robins GA. Faye will be laid to rest beside her husband Herman W. Daniel, mother Lennie C. Kimmons and son Darvin "Chuck" Blanton. Reverend Larry Franks will be officiating.

If donations are being made, the family request to a humane society, a military organization or church of choice in memory of Faye.
