FAYE IRENE DAVIS

Faye Irene (Bossen) Davis, was born in Ord, NE, on May 31, 1934, and she passed into the arms of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on Jan. 24, 2023, at the age of 88. Her mother was 49 years old when she gave birth to Faye. Her parents migrated from Nebraska to California, being pushed by the dust cloud of the Midwest. Her mother was married on one prior occasion, and six children were born into this union. Faye’s mother first husband disappeared without a trace, and after seven years her mother went to court to have her first declared deceased. After the court’s decision, she married Christian Hans Bossen. Faye’s parents settled in Oakland, CA, and Faye graduated from Castlemont High School in June 1952. She met her one and only husband, of sixty-five years, James E Davis in church. They were married on Friday, July 13, 1957, in Oakland, CA. Faye was the perfect help mate, and she was the mover shaker of her family, especially for her husband. She was a true Christian woman, which was demonstrated throughout her married life. She wasn’t interested in being in the limelight, this is what she wanted for her husband. Two Sons were born to this union, Jim Jr., came first on February 12, 1959, and almost three years later their second son was born on December 17, 1961, and he was named Troy Paul. The Davis family settled into a small town called San Lorenzo, CA, where both sons graduated from Arroyo High School, and both are married. Jim Jr. married Lisa Boley, on Aug. 6, 1988, and Troy married Stephanie Palmer on Jan. 11, 1991. Jim and Lisa had one son, named Christopher, and he married Tyler Fischer, on Sept. 8, 2022, Troy and Stephanie had three sons, Joshua, Chad, and Trevor, and all are single. Faye had many friends in California and in Vancouver, WA, who were deeply saddened by her sudden passing. Faye’s memorial service for her celebration of life was held on Feb. 15, 2023, at Brush Prairie Baptist Church, in Vancouver, Washington, and it was well attended by family and friends.
