Faye Karen Langford, 87, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2022 at her home. She was born on August 15, 1934 in Webster Springs, WV to the late Denzil Atha Cowgar and Genevieve Lee (Sears) Cowgar.
Faye was a beautiful, kind and generous woman. She met her forever love George Edward Langford and they spent over forty-seven (47) years happily married before his passing.
A vibrant woman with an adventurous spirit, Faye and George were members of a Honda Motorcycle Club. They loved to hit the open road and cruise the streets enjoying our beautiful country. When she was unable to spend time outdoors, Faye was a talented craftswoman. She had an eye for color and made many beautiful crafts her family will treasure for generations.
She was a spiritual woman, who enjoyed attending Church and lived by the Word of the Lord. A gracious woman has left many to reminisce about her golden heart and sage advice. There will never be another Faye, but our memories will continue to bring laughter and joy for many future generations.
Faye is survived by her children, Wayne Marks, Jr. (Darlene) of Mechanicsville, MD, John Allen (Kathy) of Greensboro, MD, John W. Allen of Frederick, MD and Genevieve "Bessie" Cunningham (Tony) of South Boston, VA; grandchildren, Russell, Christina, Jennifer, Faye, Carol and Paul; and great-grandchildren, Aiyana, Jase and Emma. She is also survived by siblings, Rita Gray Gatto and Judy Dell Horner (Robert). She was preceded in death by her parents, Denzil and Genevieve Cowgar; beloved husband, George Langford; son, Harold L. Wetzel, grandson, Benjamin Robinson and siblings, Larry W. Cowgar and Nedra I. Gain.
At this time all services are private.
