Evelyn Faye Lantz, born on January 5, 1945, in Jennings, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.
A devoted homemaker, Evelyn embodied the spirit of love and care in her family and community, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Faye loved to cook, dance, taking care of her dog but most of all be around family, and friends. She was known to be one to say what was on her mind and didn't care who it was she was saying it to. She also had this saying "I know I'm crazy but I ain't stupid". She will be dearly missed and her memory will forever be in our hearts.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Lantz; her beloved grandchildren: Corey (Meagan) LaMarque, Zachary (Gina) LaMarque, Tiffany (Chris) Landry, Blake (Kya) Bergeaux and Amy (Luke) Ortego; ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Neal. She cherished her family deeply, and her love will forever resonate in their hearts.
A public viewing will be held at Miguez Funeral Home on Sunday January 11th, 2026, from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume the following day at 8:00 AM until the time of service.
The family will honor Evelyn's memory with a funeral service to be held on January 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Miguez Funeral Home, with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
In this time of grief, the family invites all who knew and loved Evelyn to join them in celebrating her life and the beautiful memories shared.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alphonsine Sittig; life partner, Kitty Manuel; her daughter, Angie Bergeaux; ten sisters and two brothers.
