After more than four years, Faye Lynn Paul, affectionately known as "Aunt Faye," from
Crockett, Texas, whose life was tragically taken, can now be laid to rest with dignity. Today, following the discovery of her remains, her family and community can bid her the farewell she rightfully deserves.
Born on the 7th day of June 1940, in
Crockett, Texas, to parents Fletcher Smith Weisinger and Emma Jewel Tisdale, Faye grew up in a lively household filled with love and laughter. Her journey through life was marked by kindness, friendship, and a deep, unwavering faith.
Faye channeled her creativity and sociability into her career as a beautician, a role in which she not only styled hair but also touched the lives of many with her amiable nature and wise counsel. She also left an impression on many through her work as a medication aide in various nursing homes. Her work was more than a profession; it was an extension of her desire to bring joy and confidence to those around her.
Faye's interests extended beyond her work and church activities. She had a lifelong love for the simple pleasures that the Texas Gulf Coast had to offer. Trips to Kemah were among her favorite outings, as she delighted in the quaint charm of the seaside town. Saltwater fishing and beach visits were treasured pastimes that brought her close to nature and offered moments of tranquility and happiness. Faye's passion for cooking was unmatched, and her kitchen was a place of gathering and joy. Her culinary creations were not just meals but expressions of her love and care.
Faye was preceded in departure from this life by her loving parents; her husband, William "Bill" Paul; and her cherished siblings, Edna Mae Wall, Grady Weisinger, Jim Weisinger, Eldridge Weisinger, Lee Weisinger, James Weisinger, Hattie Kewon, Irene Wilson and Donald Weisinger.
Her memory will be treasured and kept alive by her sisters, Billie Couch, Laura McQueen, and Winnie Bridges, as well as by the many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of other family members and friends who were blessed to know her.
In remembrance of her legacy, the family will conduct a memorial service at ten o'clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 27th day of July 2024 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Lance Satterwhite officiating. Prior to the celebration of life service, Aunt Faye was interred at Guiceland Cemetery in
Grapeland, Texas.
In honoring Aunt Faye's memory, we reflect on a life lived with passion, dedication, and love. Her contributions to her family and the countless lives she touched will always be remembered. Rest in Peace, Faye Lynn Weisinger Paul.
