Mr. Nolan passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, with his loving wife and family by his side.

John Nolan was born on July 9, 1948, in Buffalo, New York, to John and Julia Nolan. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, carrying a strong sense of duty and quiet strength throughout his life. John was a dedicated truck driver and owner-operator for many years, taking great pride in his work and the independence of the open road. He had a lifelong passion for auto racing and classic cars and loved sharing stories about them. He also had a special place in his heart for dogs, adopting many over the years. For more than 17 years, John faithfully volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and Thrift Store, always willing to lend a helping hand. He was also a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, devoted to his faith and community.

Above all, John treasured his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him tremendous pride and joy.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Julia Nolan; and his sister, Mary Ellen. He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Nolan; his son, Patrick Ronaghan and wife Misty; his daughter, Gerrianne Boudreau; his sister, Peggy Noland Clark and husband Fred; and his cherished grandchildren, Daniel Boudreau, Ricky Boudreau, Jonathon Boudreau, Whitney Wallace, Katie Ronaghan, Kenzie Wallace, and Allie Ronaghan, along with extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's memory to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and Thrift Store, 503 N. Queen Street, Palestine, Texas 75801.
