Faye Harper Paulk, 85, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Friday, August 22, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, August 25, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. James Griffin and the Rev. Jay Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in the Ocilla City Cemetery, in Ocilla, Georgia. The family will receive friends, Sunday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Paulk was born April 13, 1940, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Theo & Minnie Irene Morris Harper. She received her Associate's degree in Interior Home Design from Tift College in Forsyth, Georgia. Mrs. Paulk was the secretary and bookkeeper for her husband's CPA firm in Ocilla and later retired as secretary from the Irwin County Middle School. Mrs. Paulk loved to crochet and other arts and crafts. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, James "Jim" Paulk & fiancé', Julie Griffiths of Ocilla; a granddaughter, Ella Paulk; a sister & her husband, Melba Harper Metts & Bobby of Enigma; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Bobby & Susan Paulk of Ocilla, her toy poodle, Miss Prissy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Allen "Jimmy" Paulk, a brother, Larry Harper, and a brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Danny & Hilda Paulk.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care given to her by caretakers: Ms. Orlean, Ms. Cynthia, Ms. Shelia and Ms. Francis, to the staff of Hospice of Tift Area and to a special family friend, Teresa Smith, who was always there for Faye.
Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla, is in charge of arrangements.
