Faye Pointer

Faye Marie Pointer, age 93, of Quitaque, passed away, Friday, August 2, 2024. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque. Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Quitaque. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Quitaque.
Born September 24, 1930 in Briscoe County to Joseph and Hattie Ziegler. She grew up on a farm outside of Silverton, Texas. Upon graduating from Silverton High School, she married Jimmie Elmore Pointer and moved to Quitaque. She was a highly energetic woman who loved attending her two sons basketball games. She loved to go for walks and could be seen walking all around Quitaque every day. She also loved fishing, gardening, working on the farm, and creating and piecing together beautiful quilts that she gave to each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked for the Texas Boll Weevil Patrol for many years and worked as a supervisor for many of those years. Faye was much loved in the community and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Quitaque. Most of all Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Jimmie, herr sons; Jimmie Wayne and Johnnie, and grandson Richard.
She will continue to inspire through her tenacious spirit those who survive her, including her grandchildren: Jimmie (Randy), Cory, Angie, Alyssa, Brandon, and her many great- grandchildren. She was beloved by her family and everyone that knew her.
