Nolen "Quitaque" Kell

Quitaque - Nolen Frank Kell, age 85, passed away on January 26, 2026 in Lubbock. Mr Kell will be laid to rest at a later date at Flomot Cemetery in Motley County.

Nolen Frank Kell was born in Flomot, Texas on September 30, 1940 to Reece Frank Kell and Lottie Ellen Crowell. He was the youngest of four boys and had a close relationship with his dad. He had a variety of occupations throughout his life including owning his own business. He retired after 35 years in the oil industry. He was married to Sharon Brummett for 58 years and together they had two daughters and three sons. He had 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Nolen gave his life to Jesus at a young age and read the bible completely through many times. He encouraged his children and others to follow Jesus, believing no sin is too great for forgiveness.

Nolen is resting in the arms of Jesus, rejoicing with those who passed before him-his wife, Sharon, daughter Sharon Nolene, son Nolen Glen, a granddaughter Kimberley Michelle, his parents and three brothers. He is survived by, and patiently awaits for the arrival in Heaven of his daughter KellenaChristine, and sons Ronald Frank and Clifford Lee.
