Faye Petway Smith

Ms. Faye Petway Smith age 84 of Trenton, KY passed away Monday February 2, 2026, 10:30 p.m. at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. Services will be Sunday February 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Andy Haley officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton, KY. Visitation will be on Sunday February 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home.

Ms. Faye was born July 19, 1941, in Hopkinsville, KY. She was a farmer, gardener and all things agricultural. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN. Ms. Faye loved to raise all kinds of plants and cross stitch. She is preceded in death by her parents Woodrow Petway and Mary DeFew Petway and her brother Louis Petway.

She is survived by her son Kent Smith and his wife Georgie of Trenton, KY, her grandchildren Kaley Bender and her husband Nathan, and Holden Smith all of Trenton, KY, her great grandchildren Rieghlyn Smith and David Bender.
