Faye Steerman

It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend, Faye Loraine Steerman née Chapman, 87, of Asheville, Ohio passed away, surrounded in love by her family, on Monday, February 27, 2023 after a brief and unexpected illness. Faye was born and raised in Columbus and graduated from Central High before leaving to raise a family in Colorado. After raising her family she lived for many years in Arizona before retiring and returning to the Columbus area. She loved traveling with her sisters; Midge and Pat and her best friend, Nadine, visiting friends and family across the country, playing scratch off tickets, spending her afternoons in the casinos and taking day trips. Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Garless and Frances Chapman, her sister, Mildred Chapman, and a grandson, Charles Steerman. She is survived by her children; Lynda (Kenneth) Williams of Colorado, Melanie Wambach of Tennessee, Larry (Tina) Steerman of Colorado, Terry Steerman of Arizona, grandchildren; Jeremy, Jennifer, Jason, Connie, John, Danny, Kari, Michael, James, Jacob, Tara, Jimmy, and Levi, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, a brother, Donald Chapman of Reynoldsburg, a sister, Patricia Phillips of Orient, and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly. It is her wish that there be no services or burial. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation as she was a breast cancer survivor.
