Faye will always be remembered as the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother
anyone could ever hope for. She was a woman of great humility and unwavering integrity.
She was known far and wide as the best cook around, and everyone loved her home-cooked
meals - especially her fried chocolate pies, fried apricot pies, potato dumplings, fried okra,
and coconut cake. Her kitchen was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of meals that
brought everyone together.
To her son, Donny Ray Stokes, Jr., she was his best friend, his biggest fan, and the best
mother and friend anyone could ever hope for.
Faye's life was deeply rooted in her love for and unwavering faith in God the Father and His
only Son, Jesus Christ. She lived with quiet conviction and grace, always striving to reflect
the compassion, humility, and strength that came from her walk with Christ.
