Faye Hughey Swindal of Sprott, Alabama passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 81.
She was born in Perry County, Alabama to the late Richard F. Hughey, Sr. and the late Mary Moseley on August 21, 1942.
She dedicated over 50 years of service to Tekpak Inc. in Marion. She was a beloved co-worker and friend to all that knew her. In her years of service to the company, she filled various roles and loved her career.
She is survived by her siblings, Sandra Reed. Dale Hughey (Rheta), Randy Hughey (Michelle); a loving great niece, Abbi Taylor; and other numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Wayne Swindal; and her siblings, Peggy Stone and Richard F. Hughey, Jr..
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ephesus Baptist Church in Sprott, Alabama with Rev. John Nicholson officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church .
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Hughey, Coley Taylor, Richard F. Hughey, III, Jeff Prescott, Scott Swindal, and Johnny Swindal.
Honorary pallbearers will be her friends and co-workers from Tekpak Inc. in Marion.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Bernice Jackson and Maeberta Hatcher; her physician, Dr. Hannah Zahedi, MD; and the wonderful nurses and staff with Legacy Hospice of Demopolis.

Final care has been entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home of Valley Grande, Alabama.
