FAYE WILLIS
Henderson, TN: Nellie Faye Willis, age 84, passed away Saturday January 10, 2026, at her home.
She was born in the Cabo Community of Chester County, TN April 18, 1941, daughter of the late Illie William and Mary Lee Spencer Morris. She grew up in Chester County and attended Cash School.
At a young age, she had to raise her younger siblings.
She married Gerald Wayne Willis September 23, 1959.
Mr. Willis passed away September 29, 2018.
Faye was a primary homemaker who worked a few garment factory jobs for short periods of time. She was family oriented and loved her children and grandchildren.
She also had taken care of her aging mother for several years.
She was Baptist in belief.
Faye enjoyed simple pleasures, especially a hot cup of coffee.
She is survived by a son, Timothy Wayne Willis (Nancy) of Perryville, LA; daughter, Gina Conder (Frank Haggard) of Pinson; brother, Billy Morris of Selmer; three sisters, Irene Walters of Olive Branch, MS, Joyce Vandiver of Bonaire, GA and Janice Scott of Scotts Hill, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; daughter, Darlene Burkeens; three brothers, Larry Morris, Jerry Morris and J.W. Morris; sister, Mary Brunts and twin infant siblings.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday January 13, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Barry Hoss, Bro. Ken Frye and Brandon Pusser officiating. Burial will follow at Cabo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time.
