Felipe Alamillo

Felipe Alamillo, 86, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Born August 14, 1939, in Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Jesus Alamillo and Maria Pasillas. Felipe married Yolanda Soto on August 20th 2010. He was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church. Felipe was very active and independent. He always wanted to keep busy. Felipe was a hard worker, enjoyed fishing and loved his garden and managed to plant even when he was sick. He was a stand-up man; he would help anyone and had a great sense of humor. Felipe was well respected and very loved by everyone. He was also very family oriented and loved dressing nice and attended many family events.

Survived by his wife, Yolanda; children, Antonia Alamillo, Uriel Alamillo, Lorena Alamillo, Raquel Alamillo, Maria Alamillo, Daniel Alamillo, Lorena Alamillo - Juarez, and Sandra Alamillo; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents; and children, Ambrosio Alamillo, Juan Alamillo, Felipe Alamillo, and Isidro Alamillo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 3004 11th St., Rockford. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford, IL. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
