With unimaginable heartbreak, we announce the passing of Felix Alvarez who was taken from this world far too soon on January 17th, at just 18 years old.
Felix was the beloved son of Kandi Alvarez and the late Marco Alvarez. To his mom, he was lovingly known as Fefe, Fiddle Diddle, and Fe-Diddle, names that carried the tenderness, joy, and bond they shared.
He was a devoted brother to Hailey West, Nathan Alvarez, and Leo Alvarez, and a proud uncle to his nephew, Milo Graham, whom he loved deeply.
Felix lived life fully and fearlessly. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs, his Chevy trucks, his family above all else, and making money—but more than that, he loved the idea of everyone around him succeeding. He was thoughtful beyond his years, always looking out for others, always wanting to see people win in life. He carried a strong sense of responsibility and truly believed it was his job to protect the people he loved.
Family meant everything to him. His loyalty, heart, and presence filled every room he walked into. Though his life was short, the impact he made was profound and everlasting.
Felix will be remembered for his big heart, his drive, his love for life, and the way he made those around him feel seen and protected. He will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever 18.
Felix is survived by his mother, Kandi and his stepfather Carlos Duran; siblings Hailey, Nathan, and Leo; his nephew Milo and a large loving extended family. Felix was blessed to be loved by many grandparents including Rogelio and Magdalena Alvarez, Michelle Alvarez, Robert and Sherry Morris, and Armando and Martha Duran each of whom played a special role in shaping his life.
Also cherishing Felix’s memory are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends who will carry Felix’s love and legacy forward.
Felix was preceded in death by his father, Marco Alvarez; an aunt, Amanda Griffin; an uncle, Tony Brock; and his maternal grandfather, Mike Cook.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026, visitation 2 pm-3 pm with funeral services immediately after, at Woodward Baptist Church in Chester, SC with Pastor Keith Hinson officiating where family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and honor a life that meant so much to so many.
