Felix R. Cerna, 74, of Brownfield, passed away on November 2, 2024. A private burial will take place in Brownfield Cemetery.
Felix was born on March 16, 1950, in Bexar County, TX to Leandro and Juanita (Rodriguez) Cerna. He grew up in the West Texas area.
Throughout his life, Felix was a devoted man of God, finding solace in music and songs as he strummed his guitar and sang with passion. His love for Tejano and Blues tunes reflected his vibrant spirit and love for life. Felix's infectious happiness and cheerful demeanor left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In his spare moments, Felix could be found enjoying Spanish movies and relishing in the simple pleasures of life. His fondness for children was evident in the sweet gesture of always bringing candy for his nieces and nephews, spreading smiles wherever he went.
Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Leandro and Juanita Cerna; and six brothers, Edward R. Cerna, Ramon R. Cerna, Jose Armando R. Cerna, Juan R. Cerna, Ricardo R. Cerna, and Rogelio R. Cerna.
Felix is survived by two sisters, Guadalupe Torres and husband, Reyes, and Maque Cano and husband, Feliciano; and a brother, Leo R. Cerna and wife, Elida.
