Felix Andres Gonzalez Hernandez, a beloved fire fighter in Mexico and a dedicated member of the community, passed away on January 19, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Felix was known for his unwavering strength—emotionally, mentally, and physically. 

His journey began over 27 years ago when he made the brave move to the United States in search of a better life for himself and his family.Felix was not only admired for his professional dedication but also loved for his warm and endearing personality. His family and friends remember him as a very loving and forgiving man, complemented by his funny sense of humor that brought joy to many. 

He had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, found in his love for Notre Dame sports, fishing, and the great outdoors.

Felix's legacy lives on through his devoted wife, Cesilia, and their cherished children, Eddie, Andrea, and Cristian Gonzalez. He is also survived by his mother, Conelia (Hernandez) Gonzalez, and his siblings, Armondo, Jose Guadalupe, Miguel, Maria Candelaria, Antonio, Letecia, Evarado, Jancito, and Sandra. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will forever remember him for his kindness and strength.

Felix was preceded in death by his father, Jacinto Gonzalez Martinez. His memory will be held dearly in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be missed greatly by his family and the many lives he touched throughout his life. 

Felix Andres Gonzalez Hernandez will be remembered not only for his accomplishments as a fire fighter but also for the love and laughter he shared with everyone around him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 2p.m. at Our Lady of Hungry, 829 W. Calvert St., South Bend, IN with visitation and rosary one-hour prior.
