Felix R. Hernandez

Felix R. Hernandez, age 83, was called home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2026. Surrounded by love and guided by faith throughout his life, Felix now rests in God's eternal peace. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love a gift to all who knew him.

Felix is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 57 years, Beatrice Garcia Hernandez, whom he cherished deeply.

He leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his legacy, his children, Felix Hernandez Jr., Theresa and Luis Gonzalez, Arthur and Carol Hernandez, Alex and Noelda Hernandez, Jennifer Hernandez, and Jose Garcia, Steven and Vanessa Hernandez. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to 17 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 18 great-grandchildren, each a blessing in his life.

Felix is also survived by his siblings: Virginia Medel, Lisa Medel, Richard Hernandez, David Hernandez, Mary Jane Reese, Jesse Hernandez, and Reybo Hernandez, who shared in his life's journey.

Felix retired from CPS Energy after many years of dedicated service. He found peace and enjoyment through fishing and camping, moments when he felt the closest to his family. He especially treasured his Kickapoo days in Eagle Pass, where community, culture, and family connection shaped many of his happiest memories.

A man of quiet strength and unwavering faith, Felix leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and family values. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the stories shared, the lessons passed down, and the hearts of those who loved him.
