Felix James Wells

Felix James "Squeaky" Wells, the son of Mamie Louise Gatewood Carroll and son of the late Charles Wesley Wells, was born on Friday, September 11, 1959, at Elkton Union Hospital and departed this life on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his home in Chesapeake City, Maryland. He was 64 years of age.
Squeaky, as he was known, had a good heart. He was always there to help anyone that was in need. He was known for his kindness. He was born and raised in Cecilton, Maryland. He knew so many people. The family will remember him as a "KNOW IT ALL" because that's how he acted like he knew everything. And he did know most things.
In addition to his father, Squeaky was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles N. Wells and Edwin M. Carroll.
Squeaky is survived by his mother, Mamie L. Carroll of Newark, DE; his sisters, Dorothea Wells-Wesley of Cecilton MD, Sylvia Dozier (Homer) of Newark, DE, Concetta Wright (Jerome) of Townsend, DE, Hope Carroll of Cecilton, MD, and Joyce Waters (Michael) of Middletown, DE; one brother, Marcus A. Carroll, Jr. of Cecilton, MD.
He leaves behind four children, Tanika Wells Govan and husband, Brian of Galloway, NJ, Essence and Armani Wells of Dover, DE, and Nathan Wells of Chesapeake City, MD. He was also a father to George and Georlycia of Dover, DE, and Dyllon Phelps of Chesapeake City, MD. Squeaky was also married to Sandra Desombre Wells of Chesapeake City, MD. In addition, Squeaky leaves behind six grandchildren, Takeena and Brian, Reign, Tabias, Maverick and Alaysia; a special friend, Shawnita Andrews and daughter Arianna; a long-time special friend, Herbert Wesley of Cecilton, MD; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
