Fermin Rodriguez danced his way into Heaven on May 28, 2025. He was 72. Fermin fought a 15+ year battle with Dementia and won as he is rejoicing with God, family and friends. His life ended peacefully in Dallas, TX, with his daughter, and formidable advocate, by his side.

Fermin was born on February 28, 1953, in Temple, TX, to Florencio and Dominga Rodriguez. He graduated from Temple High School and married Norberta Fuentez the same year. They welcomed three girls, The Three Roses, and resided most of their life in Conroe, TX. Fermin and Norberta divorced after 20+ years of marriage but remained friends. He found love again with Mary Arriola, his companion of 27 years.

Fermin worked at the Kroger Company for 39 years, working his way up from Stocker to Manager, he loved his job. On his days off, he enjoyed playing or watching sports (Go Yankees!), dancing, or enjoying Miller Lite with family and friends. Wherever he went, he had a knack for connecting with people and showed care for everyone he encountered.

Fermin was known for his beautiful eyes, mischievous smile and infectious laugh. He lit up every room he entered and danced when he could. He carried many names: “Mino”, “Brother”, “Hotshot”, “Gabby”, “Rod” and “Uncle Ferm”. However, his most treasured names were Dad and Grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Florencio and Dominga Rodriguez, Temple; brother, Amado Flores, Sr., Ft. Worth; granddaughter, Jaliyah Rodriguez, Lubbock; and other cherished family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Rosalinda (Daniel) and Rosanna Rodriguez, Temple; Rosemary Dirks and son-in-law, Justin, Dallas; grandsons, Zachary Rodriguez and Fernando Trevino, Temple; loving companion, Mary Arriola, Belton; brother, Florencio Rodriguez, T.O.R. of Mexico City, Mexico; sister-in-law, Aurelia Flores, Ft. Worth; sisters Mary Jessica Eno and Dolores Moreno (Johnny), Ft. Worth; Mary Helen Rodriguez (Pedro), Temple; Gloria Rodriguez, Lubbock; along with nieces, nephews, in-laws, compadres and other family and friends.
