Mrs. Fern Nadean Downey

Your Grandma Fern's Obituary reminds me of my Grandma Fern. Especially since they both worked as pie makers. One of my earliest memories is seating at the cafe counter while she served us pie. May your memories be as sweet.

To Nadean's family.....I did not know Nadean but heard about her from the Walter Downey family. My husband, Dale, was Walter's son. I remember eating her fabulous raspberry pie at Crouse Café over the years, something for which she was most famous! My thoughts and sympathies are with you at this time of your loss.

Sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Red and I were talking the other day about the time we went to Springfield and to Silver Dollar City--He had an old picture of the house in Springfield. Time sure flies.
