Fern Esther Prosa
June 8, 1938 - July 12, 2023
DEERFIELD - Fern Esther Prosa, age 85, passed away on July 12, 2023, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
She was born June 8, 1938, to Herman and Esther Wille. She married Lowell "Mouse" Prosa on April 23, 1955.
Fern was employed at Manchesters, stayed at home with her boys for a while, then was employed at now called US Bank, after which many years, worked at Deerfield Elementary School.
She was a great cook, loved going to casinos whether on bus trips or with friends up north, also enjoyed going for day trips to River Bend campsite.
Fern is survived by her three sons: Tim (Bonnie), Scott and Mark; also brothers: Pete (Sandy) and Paul (Vera).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mouse; and her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday July 17, 2023, at DEERFIELD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 206 S. Main St. Deerfield, burial will follow at Deerfield Lutheran Cemetery and a luncheon will then take place at the church. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the funeral at the church on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deerfield Lutheran Church, or to Agrace HospiceCare.
