Weslaco- Fernando Gonzalez, 71, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas.
Mr. Gonzalez was born on October 26, 1952 to Mr. Juan Antonio Gonzales and Mrs. Eustorgia Q. Gonzales in Mercedes, Texas.
Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Juan Antonio Gonzales and Mrs. Eustorgia Q. Gonzales; his loving wife, Josefina R. Gonzalez; his son, Fernando Gonzalez Jr., his brother, Juan Gonzalez and his granddaughter, Kayla Gonzalez.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Juan Antonio (Erika) Gonzalez, Claudio (Belen) Gonzalez, Rocky (Erendi) Gonzalez; his daughter, Hilda (David) Gonzalez Woodward; his daughter-in-law, Chassidy Gonzalez; his sisters, Nelda Gonzalez, Maria Gonzalez, Martha Diaz; 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Fernando Gonzalez is scheduled for Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. As per his wishes, Mr. Gonzalez will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
