Fernando Perez, age 68, passed away on April 14, 2024, surrounded by love and cherished memories. He was born on May 26, 1955, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, to his devoted parents, the late Luis Perez and Georgina Lopez. Fernando was the beloved husband of Maria Perez, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship.
A devoted family man, Fernando was the cherished father of Fernando Perez Jr., Vanessa Perez, Luisa Maria Perez, and Dorothy Perez. His role as a grandfather was deeply cherished, as he lovingly embraced the joys of grandfatherhood with his grandchildren: Fernando, Nathaniel, Hassan Jr., Ayannah, Daesha, Alexander, Anthony Jayden, Dwayne M. Shy Jr., and Dwayne M. Shy III.
Fernando will be fondly remembered as a dear brother to Noemi, David, Jose Luis, and Noel Perez. He held a special place in the hearts of his nieces and nephews: Sarai, Valerie, Jose Luis Jr., Jessica, Yahaira, Alejandro, Waldemar, Rebecca, and Javid Perez.
A faithful member of the Jehovah's Witness community, Fernando lived his life with a profound dedication to his faith and service to Jehovah God. He found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, relishing in their laughter and adventures together. An adept craftsman, Fernando possessed the remarkable ability to build and fix anything, a skill that earned him admiration among his loved ones.
Fernando's passions extended beyond his family and faith; he found delight in golfing, attending baseball games, and embarking on memorable trips with his beloved wife, Maria. His presence illuminated the lives of those around him, and his legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever endure.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 5 to 9 p.m., at Slone & Co.
