Fernne LeMay Obituary

Fernne F. LeMay
November 11, 1947 - January 9, 2026
Fernne F. LeMay, 78, beloved wife of Ernest R. LeMay, of Yalesville and Hollywood, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, at Midstate Medical Center. She was born in Meriden on November 11, 1947, daughter of the late William R. and Fernne E. (Flagg) Porter.
As a nurse, Fernne devoted many years to caring for others, she loved working in the maternity ward at Midstate Medical Center before continuing her career at Gaylord Hospital where she worked until retirement. She loved traveling and enjoying time with friends in Florida, but nothing brought her more joy than being with her grandchildren and spoiling them at every opportunity.
In addition to her husband, Fernne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Greg Gosselin of Marlborough; her sons and daughters-in-law, Ernest and Amy LeMay Jr. of Portland and Randy and Carla LeMay of Branford; her grandchildren, Ashley Gosselin, Lexi Gosselin, Alden LeMay, Craig LeMay, Ryan LeMay and Peyton LeMay; her great-granddaughter, Autumn; her sister, Nancy Romeo; and many extended family members and cherished friends.
Fernne's family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Thursday, January 15th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation by visiting https://t2t.org/donate or by mail: Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
