It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Filomena DiFilippo, who passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Salerno, Italy, Filomena was the devoted wife of Gerardo DiFilippo and the loving mother of Corrado DiFilippo (Maria), Anna DiFilippo, and Teresa Fava (Mario). She was the proud grandmother of Alessia Paolino (Michael), Gabriela DiFilippo, Gerardo DiFilippo, Simona Milo (Alex), Cinzia Fava, and Luca Fava, and cherished great-grandmother of Leo and Michael Paolino and Alara Milo. Filomena is also survived by her siblings, their spouses, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Filomena was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering strength. She found beauty in life's simple pleasures-cooking delicious meals, baking treats for loved ones, sharing laughter around the table, and cherishing every moment spent with family. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at D'Bari Funeral Home, 605 East 188th Street, Bronx, NY, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 628 East 187th Street, Bronx, NY, on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Filomena's legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
