Finley Conlon Obituary
Finley Boettcher Conlon, age 7, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2023. Finley is the son of Matthew Conlon and Katie Boettcher, born on April 24, 2016 in Concord, MA.
Fin was a loving and adventurous child, always seeking new experiences and embracing life to the fullest. He is the beloved brother to Ellwood and Harrison, and their bond was unbreakable.
Finley found joy in helping, whether it was at home, on the farm, at Sunset Lake, or at his school, Varnum Brook. Finley loved feeding the chickens, mowing the lawn, and fishing with family. Finley's adventurous spirit shone brightest when he was surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Finley will be remembered for his kind heart, his curiosity, and his unwavering love for his family and traditions. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his spirit continue to guide and inspire us as we navigate life's journey without him.
Finley is survived by his parents, his sister, Ellwood, and brother, Harrison, in addition to Grammy Robin Boettcher, and Nana Nancy Conlon, his "Uncle" Karley Boettcher and Uncle Josh Conlon, as well as great aunts and uncles and so many, many close cousins.
Visiting hours will be held at McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Friday, July 14th from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 42 River Rd., Pepperell, MA on Saturday, July 15th at 10 am followed by a reception. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, we ask for New England hearty and native perennial plants to be given to Katie, Matt, Ellwood, and Harrison to plant in memory of Finley OR Finley is registered as a team member for the "Boettchers' @ Heart" in the Tour de Cure to help find a cure for diabetes. Katie was my middle school art teacher and I remember how she would always talk about Finley with us when he was just a baby. As a type one diabetic it felt reassuring that I could also have kids one day if I wanted to. I am so sorry that his life was cut short so suddenly

Did not know this precious, sweet little boy but having raised three amazing children of my own and as a grandfather to 2 beautiful grandsons (one of whom is Finley´s age) my heart breaks. I can´t begin to imagine the pain but please take solace in knowing he is in a much better place. I am making a donation to the charity of your choice. May his memory be eternal.

Katie, Matt & Family,
There really are no words. So many hearts are breaking for you right now and will continue to break for you. What an amazingly kind, compassionate kid. For his brief time here, he gave more of his heart to others than some do in a lifetime. What a blessing that you had each other. Nothing will fix the hole left in your hearts. But Finley's big heart will live on in all of yours.
We are in Switzerland for a month and unfortunately, won't be able to make the services. Please know that we are thinking of all of you constantly and send you so much love.
