On August 3rd, 1982, Fiona, along with her mother and brother once again packed all their belongings in their station wagon and took off for Alaska. It took them approximately two weeks driving the Alcan highway stopping every night to make camp and cook their supper.
It was on her mother's birthday, August 23rd, that they met her dad at Tok Junction Alaska and were driven the rest of the way to Chugiak, Alaska where her father had rented a three-bedroom apartment.
It was at Chugiak that she attended early morning seminary starting at four o' clock in the morning. Because Chugiak High School was still under construction Fiona began her school day at five o'clock am and finished at noon in time for the Junior High to begin their classes.

On July 27th, 1995, Fiona took employment with a firm and began working security in Tuscan, Arizona. Fiona said that she liked working security. In November 1999 she moved back to Utah and resided in Mantua, Utah. In 2000, Fiona met Alan Wayne Egan in Brigham City and they began dating. On July 18th, 2003, the two were married and in May 2013 they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Brigham City Temple.
