Don Bulloch

Warren Don Bulloch passed away surrounded by his family on October 15, 2025. Don was born to Warren Higbee and June Foster Bulloch on May 30, 1935, in Cedar City, Utah, where he also spent his childhood years. He married his high school sweetheart, Sylvia Karen Smith, in 1955. Together they built a life centered around hard work and family.
After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, he attended Tulane University, the University of Arizona, and the University of Utah, where he earned a degree in pharmacy-a profession that became his lifelong calling. After returning from school, Don and Sylvia owned and operated Bulloch Drug, a centerpiece on Cedar City's historic Main Street. Don took great pride in his work, serving people throughout his career.
Don believed deeply in the value of community involvement. He served on the Board of Trustees of Cedar City Hospital, the Board of Directors of both State Bank of Southern Utah and Southern Utah Bancorp. He was an active member of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Redevelopment Association, The American Pharmacists Association, and the Cedar City Elks Club. Don and Sylvia were also strong supporters of Southern Utah University.
Don loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. His favorite place was the family ranch at North Fork-a sixth-generation legacy ranch that has been in the Bulloch/Smith family for over 100 years-where he and Sylvia spent most of their time after retiring. He loved his family dearly and was happiest when he was surrounded by them. Don had a very soft spot for animals, especially dogs-he had many spoiled canine companions through the years. Those who knew Don best will remember him by his nickname, "Boom-Boom"-a name that always brought a smile and a good story.
Don is survived by his wife, Sylvia; daughters, Lorri Stapley (Brad) and Gretchen Davenport (Justin); and son, Darren Bulloch (Calee); 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, his son Brad, and granddaughter Nicole.
A viewing will be held at Southern Utah Mortuary on Wednesday, October 22, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 1925 W 320 S in Cedar City, Utah, with a viewing before the service, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
