Flora May Aders, 91, of Bristow, passed away on January 18, 2024, at Brickyard Healthcare in Tell City.
She was born November 2, 1932, in Bristow, IN, the daughter of Claude, Sr. and Elizabeth (Thrasher) VanHoosier, she was the second of 12 children.
Flora was united in marriage on December 31, 1951, to Raymond Allen Aders. Together they shared 50 years before his passing in 2002. She enjoyed fishing, being in nature and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include her sons, Tracy (Amy) Aders of St. Meinrad and Tony (Debbie) Aders of Ferdinand; daughter-in-law, Darlene VanHoosier; four sisters, Hazel Cash, Mary Hardin, and Bonnie Sue Backer all of Tell City, and Shirley Rust of Evanston; two brothers, Gary Wayne VanHoosier of Chandler, and Ronnie VanHoosier of Tell City; 15 grandchildren, 27great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Flora was preceded in death by her sons, David VanHoosier, Randy Allen Aders and Andy Aders; siblings, Robert Alan VanHoosier, Claude VanHoosier Jr., Violet Aders, Doris Ann VanHoosier and Connie Brassard; and grandchildren, David VanHoosier Jr. and Nicholas Aders.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
