Flora Faye Black, 84, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away on December 22, 2023. She was born January 24, 1939, in Almyra, Arkansas to the late George and Leota Inmon.
Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Black; sister, Velma Klinger; and brothers, Melvin Inmon and Charlie Inmon. She is survived by her brother, Alfred Inmon (Gay); nieces, Melanie Inmon, Angela Dodge, Sheryl Osbun, Faye Neldon, and Jo Jones; nephews; Melvin Inmon Jr. and Sandy Klinger; and a host of family and friends.
Faye retired after 30 years from the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services. She enjoyed life and loved to travel as often as possible. Faye was a faithful member of Levy Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the funeral home with a burial following at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
