Flora A. (nee George) Breland of Providence, Rhode Island passed away on July 28, 2024, at 4 AM at Morgan Healthcare Center. Flora was 97. She is survived by her two sons, Glen Breland and Ronald Breland, grandchildren Tara Brennan and Adam Breland and her sister Dora Mulcahey. She was married to Roy Breland for 56 years before his passing in 2002.
She was a talented watercolor painter in her later life and spent time at the senior center teaching other seniors how to paint. She loved to communicate with people and strike up conversations with strangers as if she was meeting an old friend. She will always be remembered for her love of children and her generosity. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday August 2, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston. Burial will follow at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 – 12:00pm.
