Flora Mae Edwards, lovingly known as First Lady Flora Mae Edwards, was born on June 1, 1933, in Palmer, Texas. She passed away peacefully on November 11,2024, in Hutchins, Texas, leaving a legacy of warmth and dedication to her family and community.

Flora was a proud college graduate, who made significant contributions to the lives of those who loved her. As a cosmetologist and a devoted homemaker, she embraced her role with grace and compassion, nurturing her family and enriching the lives of others. Her talents extended beyond her profession, as she was known for her ability to bring joy and beauty into everyday life.

Flora is survived by her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory. Although she is preceded in death by her spouse, Flora's spirit and love will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on November 20, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. A prayer service will follow at the same location starting at 7:15 PM, concluding at 8:15 PM.

Flora's final farewell will take place at her funeral service on November 21, 2024, at 11:11 AM at Ebenezer Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, situated at 4791 South Buckner Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75227. 

As we come together to celebrate Flora Mae Edwards' life and legacy, we honor her unwavering spirit, her love for family, and the many ways she touched the lives of those around her. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
