Flora Grubbs Obituary
Flora Mae Staten Grubbs, age 87, of Danville, formerly of the Pottsville Community of Washington County, passed away at 12:40 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Danville Health & Rehab Center.
A native of Washington County, she was born on June 12, 1936 to the late John A. and Lorine Green Staten.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a former employee of Cricketer and Palm Beach Clothing Manufacturers and Centre College.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ralph Austin Grubbs; a daughter, Lisa McManus; three sisters, Imogene Wurful, May Dell Staten and Charlotte Gail Staten and three brothers, Alton Staten, Norman Staten and Bobby Staten.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Paisley Eggersman of Danville and three brothers, Donnie Staten and Woody Staten both of Springfield and Jimmy Staten (Lisa) of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, December 27th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Pastor James McCarroll, officiating.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Wednesday until time of the service.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
