Flora Peterson Obituary
FLORA LOUISE PETERSON, 93, of Bradenton, went to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ, March 29, 2023. She was born March 9, 1930 in Parrish, FL to Thomas J. and Flora Mae (Carlton) Parks. She was preceded in death her brothers, Kelly Parks and Lawton Parks. Louise was the only daughter of seven siblings. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Verna Joan Peterson July 6, 1951 – February 2, 2000. She was married to Vernon A. Peterson for 53 years. Louise is survived by her grandson, Andrew Whidden, brothers; David Parks, Jim Parks, Glenn Parks and Ralph Parks, great granddaughters; Ava J. Whidden and Emily Whidden. She was a farmer, raised cattle, owned service stations, owned a boat propeller business, a bookkeeper, and she was a Baptist. Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, 2023, 4:00-5:00 PM with a funeral immediately following at 5:00 PM at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Ave. W. Bradenton, FL 34205. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Braden River Cemetery, 5835 53rd Ave. E. (State Road 70.)

Louise was always willing to help people, family or friends. She was a tremendous help when my mother, Dorothy Parks, was in her final days at home. She was the dearest person you'd want to know. She is at peace now with Vernon, Joan and her parents and brothers who've passed. God rest her sweet soul. Deepest sympathy to the family.
