Flora Belle Posey

Flora Belle Posey, age 95, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by family and friends. Among those waiting with Jesus to greet her were her parents, W.W. and Pearl Connell, 5 siblings and her beloved husband of 73 years, H.C. Posey and a multitude of friends. Left behind rejoicing over her life are her children, Allen Wayne Posey Sr.(Judy) her daughter Eileen "Lee" Posey Kidd (Randall), grandchildren, Allen Posey, Kimberly Posey Howe (Steve), Kate Jensen, Coby Jensen, great grandchildren, Kallen and Kytley Howe, Eva Lauren Jensen and Cooper Stewart. Special nieces, Nola Richardson Farber (Mark) and Cynthia DeLaRosa and neighborhood favorites, Gala Fobbus Mynatt and Roger Johnson.
She was a longtime resident of North Gadsden and a faithful member of North Highland Baptist Church. Her later years were lived in Leesburg where she is a member of Yellow Creek Baptist church. At the time of her passing she was a beloved member of the Coats Bend Community. All her life she loved God with a servant's heart and she was the perfect example of a Proverbs 31 Woman. She is loved by many and she will be greatly missed.
Visitation in remembrance of her will be Sunday, 12 November from 2:30-3:30, Celebration of her life at 3:30 at Collier Butler Funeral Home, Gadsden, AL. The family would like to express our extreme gratitude to all the staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center who helped make her final journey a pleasant one.
