Flora Juanita Sturgeon

Flora J. Sturgeon, age 87 of Sterling, died Sunday April 28, 2013, at Sterling Pavilion Nursing Home. She was born on August 14, 1925 in Tames, IL the daughter of Frank and Ruby (Tupper) Dalton. She married Clinton M. Sturgeon on March 6, 1944. He died January 15, 1993. Flora enjoyed spending quality time with her family, crocheting, as well as fishing. Surviving are three daughters: Pamela (Bill) Agles of Edwardsville, IL, Ruby (Chuck) Powell of Sterling and Regina (Mark) Marfia of Edwardsville, IL; three sons: Clinton D. (Stacey) Sturgeon of Sterling, Terry (Teri) Sturgeon of Rock Falls and Kenneth (Peggy) Sturgeon of Rock Falls; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday April 30, 2013 from 10 – 11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 11 AM with the Reverend Cal Reynolds, pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling.
