Ms. Flora Marian Williams was born on July 7, 1931, in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, Central America. She entered eternal rest on March 8th, 2025. Ms. Flora lived with her parents and siblings until early adulthood. She met and married Mr. Oscar Ernesto Williams in the late 1940s. As commonly practiced in the 1960s, Ms. Flora migrated to the United States aspiring to provide a better life for her family. She became a widow during the late 1970s and worked diligently to provide for her family as a widowed mother. Ms. Flora dedicated her life to making a comfortable and loving home for her family. She took pride in her children's accomplishments, and she embraced life to the fullest.
Ms. Flora had many hobbies. She enjoyed preparing Costa Rican dishes, gardening, entertaining family members, and baking holiday cakes for gatherings. She also enjoyed listening to traditional radio stations. She attended classical music at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Learning new experiences were an mportant part of her life, but she did not forget her roots and Costa Rican traditions. Ms. Flora returned "home" to visit with family and friends regularly, and her travels were not limited to her native land.
Throughout the years, Ms. Flora had the opportunity to expand her horizons by visiting different states, other Caribbean islands and various European countries. She loved going to church and attending church activities with her friend, Ms. Sylvia Smith. Ms. Flora looked forward to interacting with her family members. She loved the daily phone conversations with "Lid," her daughter Caring for her flowers and having a SPA' date with her son, "Os" were a few of the many activities she enjoyed.
There are far too many memories to list. The experiences with her will be cherished for a lifetime. Ms. Flora's departure has left a void in the hearts of her children, family members, and friends Left to cherish her memory are her children: Oscar Ernesto Williams, Doreen Williams, Lidia Williams Ada Williams, Nuria Williams, Jennelle Williams, and Wayne Williams, fourteen grandchildren: Candelaria V. Ramos, Alfred Davis, Raven Drummond, Nikolas Williams, Jordan Williams, Briana Williams, Max Williams, Christopher Williams, Christopher McNeil, Jasmine McNeil, Lucas Williams, Chase Williams, Zoey Williams, and Jeremy Williams, eight great- grandchildren, siblings, cousins, relatives, and dear friends Ms. Flora`'s son, Mario Williams, and her beloved husband,. Oscar E. Williams predeceased her. Those who knew her intimately can attest to her sunny and engaging personality. She will be forever missed by all. She was a loving companion, a gentle mother, and a caring sister. a grandmother, and most importantly, a friend.
May Ms. Flora rest in peace while she watches over us and knows she was loved, respected, and appreciated.
