Florence Y. Ah Sing, 97, of Hilo, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 at residence with her daughter by her side. Born in Pepeekeo; she worked for Hilo Dry Goods and Robin's. Beside being an amazing cook, baker and avid orchid tender. Friends may call on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Visitation from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Wake service at 6 p.m. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Visitation from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. A Committal Service will be held at the East Hawaii Veterans #2 (Pavilion) at 12 noon with burial to follow She was a devoted wife to George Ah Sing who passed away in 1986 and loving mother to her children She is survived by sons, Timothy (Leslee) Ah Sing, Leonard (Sandy) Ah Sing and Terrence (Pamela) Ah Sing; daughters, Laurie (Clifford) Akau and Christie Ah Sing; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
