Mrs. Florence M. Aubut, 82, of Berlin, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of failing health, surrounded by her family. She was born in Berlin, NH on June 19, 1942 the daughter of the late Donat and Aurore (Belanger) Luneau and resided in Berlin all of her life. Flo had a heart of gold, always placing others before herself. A compliment was never far from her lips for her visitors. For many years, she worked in Food Service at Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She loved playing cards and bingo, was a talented cook and was often helping friends and family. She enjoyed her flowers, music and playing the accordion.
Members of her family include her husband Wilfred L. Aubut of Berlin (she met the love of her life at the Woolworth’s lunch counter and enjoyed 64 years of marriage); her children: Maurice Aubut and wife Janet of Berlin, Raymond Aubut and wife Terry of Cornish, NH, Suzanne Landry and husband David of Milan, Kevin Brungot and wife Ann of Berlin, Kelly Jardine and husband Justin of Boscawen, NH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister Annette Castaneda of Tyngsboro, MA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings Yvonne, Cecile, Jeannine, Louise and Norman.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 10am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin. Interment will take place at a later date. In accordance with Florence's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Activities Fund, 29 Providence Ave., Berlin, NH 03570.
