Robert “Bob” Fournier of Gorham, New Hampshire, died suddenly on Monday, January 19, 2026. He was 52.
Born on July 6, 1973, in Berlin, New Hampshire, to the late Denis and Hilda Fournier, Bob grew up in nearby Gorham and attended Gorham High School. As a youth, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, a distinction that brought him immense pride throughout his life. After graduation, he enlisted in the military and was stationed at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After his four years of service, he found employment as a heavy-duty mechanic on Shemya Island in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, and most recently as a manager at Bear Storage in Gorham.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and snowmobiling. He loved classic cars, reading, and could often be found socializing with friends at Mr. Pizza. Bob also cared for his late mother’s beloved cat, Daisey, who remained a constant companion.
He is survived by his brothers, Hank Fournier (Amanda) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Dennis Fournier of Marion, Texas; his sister, Kate Fournier of Gorham; his companion, Susan Martlock; many nieces and nephews in Texas and Kentucky; and extended family in Canada.
In keeping with Bob’s simple nature, services will be held privately. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Home of Berlin, NH. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net
