Florence Joan Bunin

Florence Joan Bunin, 93 of Ocean Twp., died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 19th.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Elizabeth, NJ. Florence was a member of the graduating class of 1949 at Battin Girls High School.
Florence and Husband, Sol settled in Holmdel, NJ where they enjoyed many years building a strong family bond with their three daughters. They later moved to Ocean Township where they lovingly watched their family grow for the past 37 years. Florie's greatest pride and pastime was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Florie loved supporting her family and being present for every celebration and event. As a sports fanatic herself, most recently Florie could be seen kvelling and cheering loudly at her great-granddaughters' sporting events.
Florie is remembered and cherished for her role as matriarch of her family. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Sol, grandson Joseph Robinson and son-in-law Gary Howerton. Together Florie and Sol danced through 59 and half plus wonderful years together.
Florie is lovingly survived by her three daughters, Sherrie Robinson, Marla Howerton and Lisa Bunin and her husband Jay Nitikman; her sister, Judi Davis; her loving grandchildren, Julie and Barry, Brian and Jamie, Mark, Monica and Tim, Rebecca and Darrell and Samantha and Justin; along with her adored five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Charlee, Berni, Brynn and Cooper; and many grand and great-grand-pets.
Funeral services will be held Friday February 21st, Eleven O'clock in the morning at Congregation Torat El, 301 Monmouth Road, Ocean, NJ. Interment will follow at Beth El Cemetery, Rt.33, Neptune, NJ.
