Florence J. Cullen age 99, of Millersburg passed away January 19, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be 10 am Friday January 26, 2024, at Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg with Pastor Jeff Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith Lutheran Church 187 S. Clay St Millersburg, Ohio 44654 or to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare 1900 Akron Rd Wooster, Ohio 44691.

Florence was born June 7, 1924, in Millersburg and was the daughter of Clarance and Nellie (McCauslin) Vaughn Sr. On January 2, 1949, she married Wallace Cullen, and he preceded her in death on November 5, 2017. Florence was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Millersburg, Ohio. Florence was employed at Rice and Chadwick for 25 years, she also worked at Fredericksburg Pottery. During WWII she went to work as "Rosie the Riveter" for WWII planes. Florence worked at a restaurant in Massillon called the Purple Cow which she enjoyed telling stories about. She also worked for a doctor and helped deliver a baby. She was a dedicated farmers wife that worked in the field then went to work 2nd shift at Rice and Chadwick. She worked side by side with her husband, Wallace on the farms for fifty plus years.
Florence was a dedicated grandmother, friend, neighbor, and mother. She is known for her numerous quilts and quilting. She had a collection of Cookie Jars from many states, at one time the count was over 300. She enjoyed baking and making homemade bread.
Florence is survived by her two children, Larry Cullen and Patricia Swisher; grandchildren: Jeremy, Dustin, Rachel, Randall and Beth; great-grandchildren: Jalyce, Kinleigh, Greyson, Emma, Ben, Hailey, Madison, Brittany and Brooke; great-great-grandson Ledger; and her brother Tom Vaughn.
In addition to her husband Wallace, Florence was preceded in death by, her son-in-law Tom Swisher, daughter-in-law Dana Cullen, grandson James, sisters: Dorothy, Effie, Mildred, and Ruth, brothers: Jim, Fred, Junior, and Charles "Butch".
