Florence Jacqueline "Jackie" Knight Eastham, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Jackie was born in the beautiful Northeast Georgia mountains, on November 7, 1932, to the late Floyd S. and Eula Gibbs Knight. She was one of 11 siblings holding the middle position. She married her best friend, Frederick L. Eastham, who was an Army officer and Episcopal Clergyman. While raising their three children, she enjoyed reading and writing which led to her later obtaining a Masters in English Literature. She became an adjunct professor and taught freshman English in Florida. After her husband died, she moved back to Georgia. She loved all of the other states she had lived in including MA, VA, OH, MD, WV, and FL, but the mountains of GA called her. In the last few years, she thoroughly enjoyed porch sitting and conversation with family, friends, and Angels while watching birds, squirrels, and children play.
Survivors include her son, Rick Eastham; daughters and sons-in-law, Sabrina Eastham (Mike Kovach) and Lucy Justement (Shawn); grandchildren, Shelly Justement and Gavin Justement; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Knight (Elaine); sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda Graham (Charles) and Suzanne Dover (William "Bill"); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private services will be held at The Pinedale Knight family home on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:30 PM.
The interment will be held at a later date in Culpeper, Virgina
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Episcopal Relief & Development, Meals on Wheels, or other social support systems are greatly appreciated.
